Our Aims and Objectives

Located in pleasant, rural surroundings. The centre is a purpose designed premises providing the highest quality childcare in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.

  • To provide high quality care
  • To acknowledge each child's individuality
  • To promote independence through freedom of choice of activities
  • To support and encourage each child to fulfil their full potential
  • To build positive relationships and develop multicultural awareness and understanding
  • To encourage each child to have a strong self-image and positive self-esteem

Under Twos

A separate room is provided for children under the age of two. A large variety of toys, equipment and activities are available to interest and stimulate all children both indoors and in our outdoor area. A cosy sleep area with cots, accommodates children who are in need of a sleep during their stay with us.

With this age group we use 'birth to three matters' framework, as set out by the government, to celebrate and encourage children's learning and development. The four aspects are:

  • A strong child
  • A skillful communicator
  • A competent learner
  • A healthy child

The 'birth to three matters' framework continues with your child into the over'Two' rooms.

Over Twos

These rooms are light and spacious providing a carpeted and 'messy' play area. Activities include playdough, clay, colouring, stencilling, construction, role play, art and craft.

Although we encourage learning through play, follow 'The Foundation Stage' stepping stones which are linked to the 'Early Learning Goals'. Each child has a 'Key Worker' who will monitor and record the child's progress through 'The Foundation Stage', which is divided into six areas of learning:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Physical development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Mathematical development
  • Language, communication and literacy
  • Creative development

We provide broad and balanced developmental experiences, which follows themes to support both adult and child initiated learning activities.
